| Duties: | Role: Designs and implements desktop and web based software that bring automation and innovation to the credit union. Maintains and updates current applications and custom programs incorporating graphic user interface (GUI), business logic and data access design. Maintains and provides ongoing support to the website, intranet and custom programs. Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing application to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: 65% Develops, designs and maintains database driven applications that support credit union business needs with heavy focus on web development. Follows best practices and guidelines to create best-of-breed applications providing a high level of customer service to internal clients with an emphasis on partnership and collaboration. Implements and supports N-tiered architectural design.
20% Consults with departments, users and project teams in all phases of the software development life including analysis, design, prototyping, coding, integrating, testing, debugging, deploying, maintaining and documenting systems and applications.
10% Ensures that time frames and strategies are met accordingly. Works as a team player and technical advisor when assigned to special projects.
5% Ensures that adequate security procedures are developed and followed, to protect Elevations from potential loss and ensures the confidentiality of the information is maintained by the system.
Expectations: 1. Skilled in relational databases and client server concepts
2. Strong experience with dynamic web development within an eCommerce environment
3. Experience developing applications for non-technical end-users
4. Solid object-oriented design skills
5. Use of application development methodologies throughout development lifecycle 6. Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively communicate updates with team and management.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
8. Good written and oral communication skills.
9. Committed to quality assurance and testing.
10. Insure that security is maintained and not compromised. This includes attacks, unauthorized access, and confidentiality of files.
